JI demands a ‘Zarbe Azab’ against price hike

LAHORE:Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that economic terrorism had affected every Pakistani and an operation like “Zarbe Azab” was also needed against price hike.

Talking to a delegation of Pakhtoon Jirga at Mansoora, he said that the government had driven the masses in to the valley of fear and hunger and the Finance Minister’s statements every day were causing panic among the people. The delegation was led by Arshad Khan Boneri and presented bouquets to the JI Ameer on his re-election to the JI to office. .

Sirajul Haq said the government’s attitude during the last eight months had been non-serious. It made announcements without considering its implications. He said that three IGs of Police had been changed in the Punjab during eight month time.

He said that terrorist activities at Quetta and Peshawar were an indication that terrorism had not been crushed so far.

Sirajul Haq said that the frequent transfers of Election Officers in the Punjab had caused great hardships for the masses. He said the rulers wanted the bureaucrats to be loyal to them. However, he said, the government could not to hide its inefficiency under the cover of the incompetence and stubbornness of the official machinery.

The JI chief termed the current rains a sign of divine wrath. He said there had been heavy losses due to rain and hailstorm. He urged the rulers as well as the masses to offer collective penitence. He also demanded adequate compensation for the farmers hit by the rains.
