JI slams hike in oil price

Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Sindh chapter amir Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui has slammed the government for raising rates of petroleum products.

Addressing to a meeting of his party at the Quba Auditorium, he said the rulers are bent to snatch the last morsel from the mouth of poor people. He said corruption has crossed all the limits in our country. He said mega advertisement campaigns of government are nothing but pre-poll rigging.

He said with the rise in oil prices, rates of all daily-use commodities would soar and the poor people would be at the receiving end. He demanded to withdraw the recent hike in oil prices on immediate basis. He called to reduce heavy burden of taxation to give relief to the poor masses.
