JI summons important party meeting

Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has convened a special meeting of the central Executive of the JI at Mansoora, on August 2, to discuss the political situation in the country in the light of the Panama leaks verdict.

Separately, deputy chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Hafiz Mohammad Idrees, has said that the disqualification of the Prime Minister alone would not help eradicate corruption and the Supreme Court should immediately order probe against the crocodiles in the sea of corruption.

He was addressing the Friday congregation at Mansoora mosque here.

He said that unless and until the past rulers especially the PPP leaders and Pervez Musharraf were brought to accountability and every penny of the public money was recovered from them, the JI campaign against corruption would not end. He said that Nawaz Sharif was facing divine wrath.

He said that the corrupt elite had been sucking the blood of the masses for the last seventy years while the general public was deprived of the necessities of life. He urged the masses to stand united for the accountability of the present and the past ruling junta.

He said that the real victory of the masses would be the day when they were successful in returning honest and God fearing leadership to the assemblies.
