K-Electric cuts power supply to 11 major shrines

KARACHI:Karachi Electric (KE) shut down the power supply to 11 major shrines of Karachi as the Auqaf Department failed to pay the electricity bills.

According to details, the K-Electric has sent repeated notices about the possible disconnecting of power supply from shrines due to non-payment of pending bills.

KE shut down the power to Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine due to unpaid dues of Rs 2.2 million.

Similarly, Miran Data Mazar at Nishtar Road is a defaulter of Rs 1.7 million. The other shrines of the metropolis include Zinda Shah shrine, Achhi Qabar, Jamal Shah Bukhari and other shrines.
