KARACHI: The Karachi port handled 86,111 metric tonnes of cargo on Wednesday, which includes 32,492 metric tonnes of exports cargo and 54,119 metric tonnes of imports cargo.
The total import cargo of 54,119 tonnes comprised 12,608 tonnes of containerized cargo, 41,511 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. The total export cargo of 32,492 tonnes comprised 15,545 tonnes of bulk cargo, 400 tonnes of loose bulk cement, 7,424 tonnes of DAP, 6,423 tonnes of wheat cargo and 2,600 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships M.T. Lahore, Selin D and Silver Etrema, Sea Lion, MSC Positano carrying oil/liquid, bulk, DAP, wheat and loose bulk cement have arrived and berthed at Karachi Port.
Two ships CTG Cobalt, UAFL Zanzibar carrying oil/liquid and containerized cargo have sailed off the port.
