Kashmir: (Tramboo urges UNHRC to appoint rapporteur in IOK)

ISLAMABAD: The UN Permanent Representative and Director of International Human Rights Association of American Minorities and Kashmiri representative, Barrister Abdul Majeed Tramboo, has urged the UN Human Rights Council to play its role in protecting the populations under Indian military occupation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking under the Agenda Item 5 at the ongoing 38th session of the UNHRC in Geneva, he stressed the Council to appoint a special rapporteur on the situation of Jammu and Kashmir.
