ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has allocated about four billion rupees for development of agriculture sector in the province.
According to a report quoting sources in Agriculture Department, that the amount will be spent on seventeen ongoing and twenty-one new projects.
These projects include provision of agricultural equipment to eleven thousand and five hundred farmers, upgradation of seeds production units, training and seminar for farmers about usage of latest agriculture equipment.
Besides these, the project also includes provision of latest agriculture seeds to the farmers to enhance agricultural production. The government is also planning drip irrigation system in far flung areas of the province.
