A Karachi University (KU) Spokesperson said that with the introduction of online admission system for the first time in KU, the number of candidates applied for the admissions increased significantly therefore he out rightly rejected the perception of giving admissions against merit.
A large number of students submitted online admission forms due to online system; therefore, the closing percentages were automatically increased in almost every department. This year for test based admissions, 15375 forms were submitted as compared to last year’s 14005 forms while 8141 forms were submitted for merit based admissions as compared to last year’s 7909.
Admissions are granted on the basis of entry test result in comparison with the academic percentage. All the complaints/queries of students are being resolved and addressed accordingly.
