Karachi: The Vice Chancellor of University of Karachi Professor Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan has said that varsities are recognized for its research not by just infrastructure and tall buildings.
He was addressing at a research grants distribution ceremony at Karachi University on Wednesday.
He said e research is the secret of progress of Western world. The countries which have invested heavily on research are now getting its fruits in terms of progress and growth. If we invest on research today, then it will benefit our upcoming generations, he said.
Research requires funding which is impossible without resources. However, despite the financial crunch, research grant for the faculty members has been released, he said.
