KARACHI: Lasbela Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) on Wednesday announced to establish Welfare Trust. This was decided in a meeting held with the District Session Judge, Lasbela at Hub. The meeting discussed the problems faced by Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital at Hub.
LCCI’s former president, Ismail Suttar proposed to constitute a Welfare Trust which may assess the actual need of the hospital and to prioritize them for solution and arrange funds for the same.
Earlier the District Session Judge, Abdul Qayyum Lehri proposed to set up a forum in the form of the board which may consider and address the problems of the hospital by collecting the funds from the industries at Hub.
To ensure the transparency, sound management and sustainability, Ismail Suttar proposed to constitute the Welfare Trust. The proposal was agreed upon by the District Session Judge and other participants after listening to Medical Superintendent of Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital regarding the hospital needs requiring immediate logistic support.
