KARACHI: The Law Enforcement Agencies’ (LEAs) personnel on Friday claimed to have arrested 16 terrorists of a banned outfit during targeted operation in the metropolis in the wee hours of Friday.
According to Rangers spokesman Major Qambar Raza, on an intelligence reports, Rangers and CTD personnel conducted a joint operation in Sohrab Goth and Mominabad areas. During operation the LEAs teams apprehended 16 militants affiliated with banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan’s Ustad Aslam group.
The accused identified as Rafiullah alias Qari, Abdul Majid alias Mufti, Mohammad Youniu alias Anas, Mohammad Razaq alias Shaldad, Shamsul Huda, Umar Kahliq alias Hussain, Mohammad Junaid alias Abdul Manaan, Junaid Ahmed, Mohammad Asif alias Doctor, Abdul Gaffar, Khan Bahdur, Mohammad Zainul Abadin alias Saddiqi, Saifuallah alias Safio, Sanaullah alias Sana, Abdul Aziz alias Kamaran, and Umar Ali Zargar.
The LEAs also recovered a large quantity of explosive materials and weapons, from their possession. All the arrested militants handed over to CTD for further interrogation, said Raza.
