KARACHI: The inaugural ceremony of Cataract Eye Surgery Camp would be held at Pakistan Eye Bank Society (PEBS) Hospital North Karachi on Wednesday (today).
Minister of Health, Sindh, Dr Sikandar Ali Mandhro will be the Chief guest at the opening ceremony. Chairman Sindh Healthcare Commission, Prof S Tipu Sultan, will be the guest of honor. The dignitaries from Chinese consulate, Karachi will also grace the occasion.
500 free cataract surgeries will be performed by the Chinese Ophthalmologists during this Eye Camp.
This is in pursuance of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) and Chinese Medical Association (CMA) collaboration through the MOU signed between the two organizations to strengthen Pak- China medical corridor.
The free cataract eye surgery camp has started from January 09 and continues January 19, 2018 at PEBS Hospital.
