KARACHI: Karachi police on Monday claimed to have arrested 15 suspects, including a Lyari gang war member, in different raids in the metropolis.
According to SSP investigation Malir, Malik Altaf, police raided Ansu Goth of Malir and apprehended a fugitive Lyari gang war’s Baba Ladla group member, Manwar Ali, alias Zahid Ladla from Malir. The accused was wanted to police in several criminal activities including extortion, said Altaf.
During search operations in Garden, Hyderi market and SITE areas, police arrested five street criminals Sajjad Ali, Mehran Khan, Mohammad Sadaqat, Shahid Khan and Yasin. The police also recovered four TT pistols with rounds, and motorbikes from their possession.
Police carried out raids in New Karachi and Madina Colony, and nabbed four drug peddlers namely, Shahid alias Malangi son of Nizamuddin, Atiq Ahmed son of Zameer, Nadir son of Qayyum and Naveed son of Yaseen and recovered a huge quantity of drugs from their possession.
Police detained five motorbike lifters, Bilal, Shahzad, Zubair, Asif, and Hussain from Shershah and Gulberg areas. The police also recovered four TT pistols with bullets and three stolen motorbike from them.
