Man gets three and half years jail in hashish case

KANDHKOT:A model court in the city sentenced a convict to three years and six months imprisonment with a fine of Rs 20,000 in a drug peddling case.

According to the prosecution, the excise police had arrested accused Rehmat Pathan and recovered three kilograms of hashish from his possession when he was travelling in a bus going to Karachi from Peshawar.

The court, in view of the witnesses and statements, from both sides found the accused guilty of possessing three kg hashish and pronounced the verdict. The convict will have to undergo six months more imprisonment if he fails to pay the fine money.
