SUKKUR:Armed men shot dead a man and injured his wife in Sukkur on Saturday.
A gang of armed men entered the house in the city’s Bhoosa Line area and opened fire on inmates, killing Ghulam Shabir and injuring his wife Shabana. The killers fled to unknown destination after swift operation.
The body and injured were shifted to a local hospital for an autopsy and treatment, respectively. The condition of the injured woman was stated to be out of danger. The police have lodged the report and started further investigation into the incident.
The victim family lived in Sukkur in a rented house and belonged to Wada Machhi area of district Khairpur. They had shifted to the city some days back.
