KARACHI: A lower court on Saturday sentenced a man to death after he was found guilty of killing his brother-in-law two years ago.
Wajid Ali was convicted for the murdering his brother-in-law Zafar Iqbal in December 2016 within the limits of Shershah police station. The additional district and sessions judge (West) pronounced the verdict after recording witnesses’ statements, evidences and arguments from both sides.
According to the court, the prosecution successfully established its case.
The prosecution said that Wajid was brother-in-law of slain Zafar and they got into in heated argument on a domestic dispute on which Wajid hit on Zafar’s head and that injury proved fatal.
The murder case was registered at Shershah police station under section 302 (premeditated murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
