Mayor for timely action on citizens’ complaints

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar said the Citizens’ Complaints Information System is an important department of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and citizens expect that their complaints will be addressed and they will get relief timely.

He said that officers of the department must ensure presence of a focal person in the Citizens’ Complaints Information Centre so that departmental heads could be informed about the complaints and actions taken for their solution.

He said this in a meeting held in his office on Monday which was attended by the municipal commissioner Dr Asghar Abbas, senior director coordination Masood Alam and other officers.

Mayor asked the municipal commissioner to issue show cause notices to the officers who did not attend the meeting.

He said people have lot of expectations from CCIS helpline 1339 and their complaints should be resolved on timely basis.
