Minister: (CPEC accentuates investment in Pakistan: Marriyum)

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that an economically developing Pakistan is an example for the whole world.

Talking to PTV at Davos in Switzerland the Minister of State said China Pakistan Economic Corridor project has accentuated investment in Pakistan.

She said CPEC is a project of shared prosperity and common interest and many regional countries are desirous of benefitting from it. She said the world community evinced tremendous interest in the of One Belt One Road impact session.

She said law and order situation in Pakistan had improved considerably and a massive effort was underway for building infrastructure in the country.

She said the revival of trade activities in Pakistan was due to the vision of the former Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif.

Highlighting the historic representation of Pakistan by Prime Minister Shahid Khan Abbassi at the World Economic Forum, she said the Prime Minister had very extensive and productive discussion on investment opportunities in Pakistan in his meetings with Bill Gates, Asian Infrastructure Development Bank, Mitsubishi Corporation, Siemens and heads of important international organizations.

She said in his meeting with Bill Gates the Prime Minister discussed different aspects of the health sector including Prime Minister’s health program, universal health coverage, elimination of polio and other related issues in which he acknowledged Pakistan’s progress in health related interventions. She said the objective of these meetings was to revitalize foreign investment in Pakistan.
