´╗┐Minister for Industries inaugurate Gujranwala Small Industrial Estate

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that creating new job opportunities by accelerating process of industrialization is a vision of PM Imran Khan and CM Usman Buzdar.

The Punjab government has established industrial estates in different cities of the province. There are 24 small industrial estates in Punjab while the government is establishing new industrial estates in Gujrat, Sialkot, Jhang, Sahiwal and DG Khan where a new industrial estate is require, it will be formed in consultation with the relevant chamber of commerce and industry.

He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Gujranwala small industrial estate IV here at Kamonki on Friday. MD Punjab Small Industries Corporation Muhammad Tahir Watto, President Chamber of Commerce and Industry Gujranwala Umer Ashraf Mughal, concerned officers and business community attended the ceremony. Provincial Minister for Industries and commerce Mian Aslam Iqbal has said on the direction of the chief minister Punjab, I started visiting small industrial estates so that hurdles should be removed in colonization of industrial estates.

He said that provision of electricity and gas will be ensured in the newly build Gujranwala Small Industrial Estate-IV and board of governors of it will also be completed soon. He said that the proposal of chamber for setting of the new small industrial estate will be reviewed. Provincial Minister said that easy loan from one lakh upto ten million rupees is being provided under the Punjab Rozgar Scheme. Punjab government has decided to make the conditions of loans easier. Now Punjab small industries corporation will issue easy loans upto Rs. 25 lakhs.

New job opportunities can only be increased through industrialization, therefore, Punjab government is implementing the policy of 100 percent colonization of industrial estates, he added. Mian Aslam Iqbal said that 60 thousands youth have been provided technical education under the Hunarmand Nojawan Programme. The government is spending 1.5 billion rupees of this programme. Punjab government is establishing state-of-the-art skill Technology Park in Lahore and PM will inaugurate this project soon, he concluded.
