Minister: (Legal fraternity played vital role in political struggle since creation of Pakistan: Rashid)


RAWALPINDI: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has said that the legal fraternity played a vital role in political struggle since the creation of Pakistan.

He was addressing a seminar titled “Right to Information” held under the auspices of Rawalpindi Bar Council here on Tuesday.

The Minister said lawyers always confronted the dictatorship. He said founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah was also a lawyer, who achieved this country as a result of legal, political, and democratic struggle. He said addressing the Rawalpindi Bar Council is an honour for him as he has long association with the Bar.
