Murad sees a new-look Karachi after 2 months

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that his government is giving special attention to development of Karachi and in May 2018 the city would take a new look, a look of most developed and beautiful city.

Addressing to launching ceremony of ‘Karachi Kings’, he said that terrorism is not only a problem of Sindh, Pakistan or Asia but it is an international issue. America and various other countries are still struggling against terrorism but with the grace of Allah we have eliminated it completely; now we are making again Karachi a city of lights and reconstructing its dilapidated infrastructure, he said.

He lauded the services and sacrifices of law enforcement agencies, particularly the police, the Rangers and intelligence agencies for bringing peace to the city. “Now, Karachi is one of the peaceful cities of the world.”

Shah said that it was not a simple task to replace old drainage system in Karachi but we have achieved this target also. Inshallah, in May 2018 the city would take a new look, a look of most developed and a beautiful city, he said.

The chief minister said Karachi is one of the few best cities of the world in terms of its diversified population, sea ports, industrial hub, fish industry and to some extent agriculture particularly the crops of vegetables and fruits. He also highlighted multi-cultural and multi-faith characteristics of Karachi.

He said that the arrangements for PSL final were being made to make it a big success. He said his government also works to promote hockey, boxing and other games.
