KARACHI: Tanzeem-e-Islami Pakistan Karachi chapter on Tuesday held a protest demonstration outside Karachi Press Club (KPC) against ongoing violence and aggression in Syria.

A large number of people participated in protest and expressed solidarity with the Syrian people. The protest was led by Aamir Khan, Shujaa-u-Din Shaikh, and Ubaid Ahmed.

Addressing the protesters, Aamir said that Ghouta, a suburban area in south-western Syria, has become a river of blood and innocent people including children and women have lost their lives due to air attacks.

He said that Russia and Syria had indiscriminately bombing the area and innocent people were compelled to migrate from it. He said people were facing lack of food, medicines and other basic needs but the whole world is silent over it.

He said that all Islamic countries and international community are silent over this massive aggression and violence.

Aamir said that all Muslim countries should convene a meeting to help the innocent Syrian people.
