National Men, Women C’ships rescheduled for February


Karachi: Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) is organizing 25th National Men and 8th National Women Judo Championships have been rescheduled and it would now be held next month from February 13 to 18 at Hamidi Hall, PSB Sports Complex in Islamabad.

According to PJF officials the championships, which were originally scheduled for December 2016, was postponed for on the request of its affiliated units WAPDA, and HEC.

Top 14 teams – KPK, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, AJK, Army, WAPDA, Railway, Police, Navy and HEC will participate in the championships. Token participation has also been given to DHA and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Men will compete in Under-50, -55, -60, -66, -73, -81, -90, -100, +100kg and open weight categories. Meanwhile, women will be seen Under-40, -44, -48, -52, -57, -63, -70kg and open weight categories.
