KARACHI: As many as 1.4 million patients were provided medical facilities in Sindh Government New Karachi Hospital in 2017 and turnout of patients in their OPDs significantly increased in this district hospital.
According to the annual statistics issued by Sindh Government New Karachi Hospital, a total 1,497,358 patients were provided consultation and treatment facilities in different OPDs previous year, with 4,000 to 4500 daily visits. At least 451,841 patients were provided emergency treatment at Accident & Emergency Department of the hospital.
The report r shows that 38,350 patients got admission in different wards of the hospital while 301,123 surgeries were carried out previous year. As many as 37,905 children were handled in the Paeds emergency.
The statistics revealed that 34,159 x-ray and 412,098 lab tests were also performed in the hospital last year.
