No proper emergency care facilities in Larkana

LARKANA, Sindh: No proper emergency medical help facilities present are in Larkana. This was witnessed after a fatal road accident that claimed three lives, while injuring 10 others including two women and seven kids.

The victims were identified as a woman Badshahzadi, 30, her 9-year son Mujahid and her close relative 12-years Sheeraz Ali s/s Sommar Mangi

The accident took place on Sunday evening near Saidudero roundabout, when a passenger van and a pickup collided head-on.

Of 10 injured, the condition of four injured passengers was serious who were shifted to Karachi. They included Yousuf Mangi, Sajid Mangi, Razia Mangi and Nusrat Mangi.

It is strange that the CMCH is a teaching hospital of a medical university but it lacks ability to treat seriously injured persons, who are sent to the hospitals of Karachi. This is a big question mark on viability of any teaching hospital worth its salt.

The injured were first shifted to rural health center of Naudero, and as there was no any facility, they were rushed to the CMCH, Larkana, where also satisfactory treatment was given to them as no senior neurosurgeon is present in evening and night shifts.

Funeral prayers of the dead woman and her minor child were offered in Garhi Khuda Bux on Monday morning and they were laid to rest in Garhi Khuda Bux graveyard.
