LARKANA: There are no Taluka Education Officers (TEOs) for primary and secondary schools in the entire Sindh province.
This was disclosed by Manzoor Ahmed Mangi, Central Vice President, Gazetted Officers Associations of School Administration, Sindh, while talking to this scribe here on Sunday. He said over 400 posts are now lying vacant each is of Basic Pay Scale 17. He said due to non-posting of these TEOs, it is vividly clear that mismanagement is at the top in the school management for which only higher education bosses are responsible.
He said due to upcoming general elections, rulers are posting primary teachers and subject specialists as TEOs illegally against the standing orders of the apex court or directing them to look-after the charge addition to their own duties which should be taken notice of by the concerned government authorities.
He said education system is being ruined in this planned manner in Sindh which should be condemned. He said Sindh Education Minister and Chief Minister are tight lipped in this matter and have been claiming that education standard will be raised at all costs but such actions will only ruin the already damaged system. He demanded that proper postings be made without loss of further time to save future of our children.
