One killed three injured in Karachi violence

KARACHI: A man was killed and three others injured in different firing incidents in the metropolis in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to rescue sources, a 32-year-old man, Farhan Ansari suffered severe bullet injuries when an armed man opened fire at him near Super Market in Liaquatabad. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.

Separately, two unknown armed men riding a motorbike opened fire at a car in Pakistan Chowk. As a result, two persons, Abdul Basit, aged, 23 and Abdul Jabbar, 40, sustained bullet injuries. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.

Meanwhile, unidentified armed men opened fire at a 40-year-old man, Naeem, son of Saleem Iqbal on superhighway. As a result, he sustained bullet injuries in his shoulder.

He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
