One killed, two injured in separate road mishaps

KARACHI:A man was killed and two others injured in different road accidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

According to rescue sources, a speeding vehicle hit a 35-year-old man, Afaq Ahmed near Qayyumabad area. As a result, he suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for a postmortem examination.

Separately, an unknown pedestrian, aged around 50, was hit by a speeding vehicle while walking across the road near Native Jetty Bridge. He was rushed to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.

Rescue sources said that a young motorcyclist, Asad, aged 25, was on his motorcycle when a speeding minibus knocked him down in North Nazimabad area. As a result, he suffered multiple injuries. He was rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
