ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, only 1 in 5 Pakistanis (19%) say they commemorated Iqbal Day this year.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Please tell us if you attended any ceremony on the occasion of Iqbal Day this year.” Responding to this, 19% said yes and 81% said no.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1826 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, November 12- November 18, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
