ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 69% Pakistanis claim to trust the national government to do what is right for the country, with 25% saying they have a lot of trust.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “How much do you trust the national government to do what is right for Pakistan; a lot, somewhat, not much, or not at all?”
In response to this question, 25% said they had a lot of trust in the national government to do what is right for the country, 44% said somewhat trust, 22% said not much trust and 8% said they did not trust the national government at all. 1% did not know or wish to respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1719 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, January 21 –January 27, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
