Opinion Poll: (82% Pakistanis opine that Trump’s decision over Jerusalem would intensify the Palestine-Israel dispute further)

ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 4 in 5 Pakistanis (82%) opine that Trump’s decision regarding Jerusalem would intensify the Palestine-Israel dispute further.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces, who claim to have heard/read something about Trump’s decision in regards to Jerusalem, was further asked, “Some people believe that Trump’s controversial decision would increase disputes between Israel and Palestine while others believe this decision will not affect their dispute.

What is your opinion on this?” Responding to this, 82% said it would increase the dispute and 18% said it would not affect the Palestine-Israel conflict.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1148 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, December 10- December 16, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
