ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, public opinion split over performance of the police force: 25% Pakistanis rate them favourably and 48% unfavourably.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “What is your opinion about the police performance of your province?” In response to this question, 7% said very good, 18% said good, 26% said neither good nor bad, 23% said bad and 25% said very bad. 1% did not know or wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1673 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, January 28 –February 03, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
