November 13, 2017

Karachi: Opposition parties in Sindh assembly have been mulling over to bring a motion of vote of no confidence against deputy speaker Shehla Raza.

Sources said that due to alleged biasness of the deputy speakers, the opposition benches are not happy with the deputy speaker. They said the House often witnesses exchange of blames when the deputy speaker chairs it. Tussle between the deputy speaker and PML-F lawmaker Nusrat Bano Seher Abbasi is also shown by TV channels and enjoyed by viewers.

The sources said that the opposition parties are finalizing their strategy to bring a motion of vote of no confidence against deputy speaker.

However, sources in treasury benches said that a few opposition members deliberately irk the deputy speaker as they know that she would lose her temper, easily. They said this is not the case with the speaker of Sindh assembly Siraj Durrani who uses his experience, patience and wit to thwart the political attacks from the opposition benches.
