ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad has said that interior ministry in a joint meeting with Punjab authorities has decided to allow Pakistan Peoples Party to hold anticipated long march.
Talking to media in Lahore on Friday, the Minister made it clear that government will not let anyone take law into their hands under disguise of protest. He said opposition will fail in bringing about the no-confidence motion against the incumbent government and Prime Minister Imran Khan will emerge as a stronger leader if the motion fails.
Talking about court verdict in Noor Mukadam case, he applauded the efforts of Islamabad police in collecting significant evidence by promptly conducting an effective and thorough investigation. Commenting on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Russia, he termed the visit a great success and said that Pakistan’s peace initiatives are greatly acknowledged at world level.
