KARACHI: Commercial Counselor of Pakistan to Dubai Dr Nasir Khan on Thursday visited Pakistan Pavilion at Paperworld fair in Dubai. He showed keen interest in the products displayed by Pakistani exhibitors.
Paperworld was co-located with Leather world Middle East, the region’s premier showcase of leather goods, accessories and supplies. It closed its doors today after three successful trade fair days in Dubai. More than 300 exhibitors showcased their products from all over the world and more than 10,000 trade visitors from worldwide made their ways to the show, the region’s dedicated trade fair for the paper, office supplies, leather, machinery and leather goods for professionals in the wholesale trade, consumer stores and retail trade industries.
The Paper industry is confident that with the proper encouragement on the part of the government, Pakistan’s printing and paper industry can conquer the international market in the United States, Europe and the Middle East.
China, Egypt, Iran, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates were top 10 visiting countries. Dollar industries participated on their own while Aftab Sons & Writing, Butt Leather and Rex Ceramics under the pavilion of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. They displayed with products covering writing instruments, school supplies, leather office accessories & other office supplies
Gulzaib Abbasi from Rex Ceramics mentioned, “We had received a good response from visitors throughout the fair and we also have got customers from Russia, Jordan and GCC countries.”
Amir Fahim from Butt Leather expressed his views about the fair, “We had an awesome experience, although we participated for the first time and captured GCC market. We have a houseful and having overwhelming response from customers, especially from the GCC customers. We would love to come again and participate in the show.”
