Paramedics protest for accepting their demands

July 11, 2019

LARKANA:On the call of Pakistan Paramedical Staff Association, the members of the Larkana Chapter of the Association took out a rally from Chandka Medical College Hospital Thursday which after marching through various roads culminated in front of local press club.

The participants included Murtaza Junejo, Abdul Rahman Shar, Sharif Palari, Aziz Brohi, Munwar Mangi, Zamir Sangi, Ghulam Mustafa Kalhoro, Deedar Brohi, Younis Jalbani and others.

While addressing the participants, these paramedic leaders said that since long, they had been protesting peacefully for acceptance of their genuine demands, but the Sindh government and its health department had been constantly ignoring them, which was unjustified.

They said their demands included award of time scale for paramedical, technical and supporting staff, health professional allowance as awarded to Karachi’s JPMC staff, up-gradation of posts, regularization of Gavi vaccinators, death quota and others.

They further demanded withdrawal of recovery letter of 2014 issued by Finance Department. They warned if their justified demands are not accepted forthwith, they will continue their protest which will not remain confined to Larkana only but will also spread across Sindh.
