ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has directed to finalize policy framework for providing maximum facilitation and promoting business through e-Commerce facility.
He issued the directions while chairing a meeting in Islamabad on e-Commerce policy framework, which is being formulated to promote and facilitate e-commerce transactions.
He said e-commerce gives huge benefits to the economy including generation of jobs, broadening of market access, documentation of the economy and promotion of businesses.
The Prime Minister appreciated the efforts of Ministry of Commerce, IT and all other concerned departments working on putting in place a robust mechanism to facilitate e-Commerce in the country.
On this occasion, he was given detailed presentation on the proposed policy framework which is being formulated in consultation with the stakeholders.
