ISLAMABAD:Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Haji Abdul Wahab, the Ameer of Tableeghi Jamaat.
He said that invaluable services rendered by Haji Abdul Wahab as a religious scholar will always be remembered. The Prime Minister offered condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Haji Abdul Wahab, the Ameer of Tableeghi Jamaat.
He said Haji Abdul Wahab rendered innumerable services for preaching and spreading the message of Islam. The Minister said that Haji Abdul Wahab has a prominent place among the religious leaders who endowed every moment of their lives for the cause of Islam.
He said Haji Abdul Wahab always based his preaching on peace. He said that Haji Abdul Wahab proved through his conduct that sentiments of peace and love can bring lasting changes in the mindset and character of a person.
Chaudhry Fawad said that efforts to portray Islam as a religion of peace resulted in formation of an institution in the annual Tableeghi Ijtema (gathering) at Raiwind, which is attended by hundreds of thousands of people every year.
He said the annual Tableeghi Ijtema at Raiwind is considered the largest gathering of Muslims after Hajj. The Minister offered condolence and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Federal Minister for religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noor-ul-Haq Qadri also expressed grief over the sad demise of Haji Abdul Wahab.
He said Haji Abdul Wahab’s services for religious preaching will always be remembered. Noor-ul-Haq Qadri offered his condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Ameer Tableeghi Jamaat Haji Muhammad Abdul Wahab died in Lahore after protected illness.
According to Tableeghi Markaz Raiwind, timing of funeral prayers will be announced later.
