Karachi: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) has shown dismay over indifference of the Sindh Government towards resolving the longstanding issue of doctors of Sindh regarding their promotions.
Dr. S.M. Qaisar Sajjad, Secretary General, in a statement here Tuesday said the doctors of Sindh are on hunger strike till death at Karachi Press Club and today it is the 7th day of their strike. It is very unfortunate that Sindh Government has not shown any leniency towards the demands of the doctors. The apathy of the government is causing a lot of distress and unrest in the medical fraternity of the province of Sindh.
PMA demands that Sindh Government should come forward, feel its responsibility and meet the demands of the doctor immediately to avoid any troublesome situation in future, which can affect the health delivery system in Sindh.
