KARACHI: Police arrested four robbers in injured condition during two different alleged encounters in the metropolis in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to police sources, two robbers were trying to flee after looting and injuring a man, Qasim son of Iqbal, near Liaquatabad No-10, when a police team reached at the scene the robbers opened fire on the police team which was also retaliated by police. During the shootout for some time, the robbers received bullet injuries in their legs.
Police arrested them in injured condition and recovered weapons, bullets, mobile phones and a motorbike from their possession.
They were shifted to Abbbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment.
Separately, a police party arrested two street criminals in injured condition after encounter in Landhi No-4.
The accused identified as Daniyal alias Dani, and Nadeem.
The injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for treatment.
