KARACHI: Karachi police on Saturday claimed to have arrested nine alleged criminals, including three motorbike lifters, from different parts of the metropolis in the wee hours of Saturday.
According to SSP Orangi town Abid Ali Baloch, police conducted search operations in Surjani town and Pirabad areas, and apprehended six street criminals, Asif, Abbas, Amaan, Faizan, Jamal and Ashraf.
The police also claimed to have recovered weapons, snatched mobile phones, motorbikes and drug from their possession.
Meanwhile, Shershah police detained three motorcycle lifters, Mohammad Nabil, son of Mohammad Haneef, Mohammad Bilal, son of Mohammad Ramzan and Mohammad Ali, son of Akhtar Ali, and recovered 15 stolen motorcycles and two TT pistols from their possession.
The police have registered FIRs against detainees and started further investigation.
