UBAURO:Police on Monday claimed to have arrested 14 gamblers and one suspect in different areas of Mirpur Mathelo and Ghotki on Monday.
According to SSP Ghotki Dr Farukh Ali Lunjar, a police team raided a gambling den in village Pir Bux Mahar in Momal Ji Mari area of taluka Mirpur Mathelo, where they arrested 14 suspects including Ashfaq Ahmed, Abbas Soomro, Sadiq Kalhoro, Niaz Hussain, Nisar Ahmed and Sultan.
They police also recovered from their possession gambling money, two cars, five mobile phones, five bikes and play cards besides registering cases against the accused.
In another action, a Qadirpur police party arrested a suspect and recovered a bike from his possession in Ghotki district.
