Political, civil society people reject increase in oil prices

QUETTA: Political and civil society leaders discarding latest raise in petroleum prices by federal government have demanded reserve of this decision or people would come to streets.

Demand was made by Secretary General JUI Balochistan Malik Sikandar Advocate, Abdul Wali Kakar Senior vice President Balochistan National Party, President PPP Ali Madad Jattak, Haji Noor Mohammad of PTI, former provincial minister Sardar Yahya Nassar and others here Monday.

They said oil prices in world market are very low but government under the cover of price hike was raising oil prices. They said impacts of raise in oil prices may also affect routine life . Government has become habitual to increase prices of petroleum products to cover up price hike and its loans. It is excess with the people and attempt to jam wheel in the country.

They said we not only condemn this attitude of the government but also out rightly reject it. Government should review petroleum prices and these should be brought down according to world market.
