PPP has laid network of hospitals in Sindh: Bilawal

KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutt1o Zardari has said PPP-led Sindh government had laid network of hospitals throughout province to provide quality health facilities, where people from all over Pakistan was being provided treatment free of cost as compared with Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments who were launching Metro Bus service and planted trees in their respective provinces.

“Now it’s up to the people of Pakistan whether they would like to give mandate to PPP in next general election in provision of quality education and health facilities in Pakistan or vote other parties,” he expressed these views during inauguration ceremony of 3rd Satellite Centre in Hyderabad at Liaquat University Hospital(Civil Hospital) yesterday evening, started by National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases ( NICVD) in collaboration with the Government of Sindh to provide state-of-the-art cardiac care services to the people of province at their doorstep.

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Health Minister Sindh Dr Sikandar Ali Mandhro, MNA Naveed Qamar, ex-senator Maula Bux Chandio, provincial ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Jam Khan Shoro, Senator Aijaz Dhamrah and hospital management were also present.

Bilawal said NICVD with expansion of services in Sindh province had become biggest cardio care facility in South Asian countries where all facilities were available. He appreciated the team of NICVD and the Sindh government on achieving another milestone to provide best cardiac care facilities to the people of Sindh.

He lauded NICVD for providing state-of-the-art cardiac healthcare facilities totally free including Cardiac Emergency, Primary PCI (Angioplasty during heart attack), Adult and Paediatric Cardiology, Echocardiography, Critical Care and out-patient services to the people of Sindh.

While addressing the ceremony, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah said National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases would be renamed as Sindh Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases after approval party leadership. He said new SIUT branch would be established in Hyderabad or Larkana very soon while Cancer Hospital is also being setup in Larkana.

Health Minister Sindh, Dr Sikandar Ali Mandhro said Sindh Government is hence determined in providing accessible and efficient health services to the community and 300-bed Badin Hospital is ready opening. He said Thalassaemia Treatment Centre will also open for public soon.

He said it is the untiring efforts of NICVD and Sindh Government that totally free of cost major cardiac facilities, including round the clock Cardiac Emergency, Primary PCI, which is angioplasty during heart attack, Adult & Paediatric Cardiology, Critical Care, Echocardiography, and Out-patient service, are now available in Hyderabad also.

He further added that we are committed to providing state-of-the-art cardiac services to the people of Sindh. In the following month two such NICVD centres would be functional in Sehwan and Sukkur and further three more NICVD satellites in Nawabshah, Khairpurand Mithi would be operational in 2018. This network of NICVD satellites would be providing prompt and easily accessible cardiac services to the population of entire Sindh province at their doorstep.
