PR HQs to be shifted to Karachi

Lahore: Federal railway minister Sheikh Rasheed has said that the headquarters of the Pakistan Railways would be shifted from Lahore to Karachi soon.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that the reservations offices of railways would be kept opened till 12:00 midnight. He said within 100 days the number of freight trains would be increased from 10 to 15.

He said they want to sell three spacious and precious plots of the Pakistan Railways adding these real estate gems would be sold after the approval of the prime minister. He said presently the Pakistan Railway faced a deficit of Rs38billion and its loans are Rs25bn.
