SIBI: Immense expectations and hopes were knocking at our doors and Pakistan is on road to progress and prosperity. Sibi Mela is pleasant message for the area.

These views were expressed by President Mamnoon Hussain while addressing closing ceremony of historic Sibi Mela here Sunday.

When President Mamnoon arrived Sibi airport from Quetta by helicopter he was received by Commissioner Sibi Division Sohailur Rehman Baloch. President drove to Governor House for local bodies convention.

On his arrival at Sardar Chakar Stadium for closing ceremony of Mela flower petals were showed on them. Traditional turbans were also put on their heads. They included President Mamnoon, Governor Mohammmad Khan Achakzai, provincial minister Ghulam Dastgir Badini, IG FC Major General Nadeem Anjum and others.

President said Sibi Mela comes with news of spring and happiness. Now e was coming real spring and CPEC project would bring prosperity in the province. Sun of progress and prosperity was rising in the country.

He said that Pakistan particularly Balochistan suffered difficulties for some time. He said in view of economic development projects needs Mela was founded. Participants of youth in the mela is good sign.

He made it clear that no change has been made in any route of CPEC. It is also aimed at bringing other regions of the world closer. He said during present era heavy responsibility lays on people of Balochistan. CPEC would help develop backward areas. He said NUML University has been provided funds for establishing campus in Gwadar. He said our behaviour should be open hearted. There is need traditional behaviour should be given to move forward. He said Balochistan and other backward areas would benefit from CPEC project. IN view of demands of changing situation those moving can make progress. He said force of peace and stability were gaining roots in this beautiful area of Pakistan.

LB Convention: Addressing local bodies convention President Mamnoon said that people of Balochistan would benefit the most form CPEC project. Local bodies institutions should play role for civic system and local bodies projects.

He said we should prepare ourselves for benefitting form CPEC project. He said Balochistan has become hub of economic activities after commencement of CPEC. He Saud from five to six months load shedding would be end from country. He said present government was paying most attention on Balochistan. He asked local bodies institutions to play their role for providing basic facilities to the people.

Provincial Minister for local bodies Ghulam Dastgir Badini, District representatives and others also spoke on the occasion and highlighted history and significance of Sibi mela.
