Prof Atta to open international science conference


KARACHI: Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, former Federal Minister of Science & Technology, and former Chairman HEC will inaugurate an international bioscience conference to be held at the University of the Punjab, Lahore on October 23, 2017.

The Institute of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of the Punjab, is organizing the conference on “Trends and Prospects in Molecular Biosciences” to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the institute.

Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman, the patron-in-chief of ICCBS, will also deliver a special lecture in the inaugural ceremony to be held in Pervaiz Hassan Environmental Law Centre, University of the Punjab, Quaid-e-Azam Campus on Monday.

Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman is the author of 1082 international publications including 225 books largely published in USA and Europe. He is the most decorated scientist of Pakistan having won 4 civil awards from successive governments, including the highest national award “Nishan-i-Imtiaz”.
