Progress linked to acquiring education

QUETTA: Saira Atta, Secretary, Labour and Manpower Department, has said that progress could be achieved by acquiring education in accordance with the requirements of modern era, therefore, youth must equip themselves with vocational training besides pursuing education so that they might not confront hardships like unemployment in future.

These views were expressed by her while inaugurating new departments of AutoCAD and Mobile-Phone-Repairing at Technical Training Centre (TTC), Sirki Road, Quetta on Friday. She said that education and vocational training were so integrated that enabled an individual to seek honourable employment to lead a reasonable standard of life in the society.

Appreciating the role played by the Principal and other subordinate staff of TTC, she hoped that TTC would also play a similar active role in future to impart vocational training upon youth. On the occasion, Director, Labour and Manpower Department, Jamil-ud-Din, Principal, Technical Training Centre, Quetta, Shoaib Anwar Sherazi, Vice Principal, Muhammad Azam Raisani, Workshop Superintendent, Abdul Waleed, Acting office Superintendent, Arif Shah, Chief Instructor, Zakir Hussain and others were also present.
