QUETTA: Protest sit-in outside Balochistan Provincial Assembly continued on Saturday, demanding arrest of 09 persons, including Asim Kurd Gilo, former Minister, allegedly accused of killing five tribesmen of Awan tribe in Bala Nari area of district Kachhi in Balochistan province.

According to detail, five persons were killed by armed men in Bala Nari area of District Kachhi during the month of November. Nine persons, including former Minister Mir Asim Kurd Gilo, were nominated in the F.I.R. After staging protest sit-in on Balochistan-Sindh and Balochistan-Punjab Highway for some days, protesters led by Parliamentary leader of Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind staged a protest sit-in outside Balochistan Provincial Assembly on February 18, 2022, demanding arrest of 09 persons, including Mir Asim Kurd Gilo, former Minister, nominated in the FIR.

Talking to media, including PPI in the protest camp, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Parliamentary leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that the killers were being backed by the provincial government, adding, “48 hours ultimatum is given to the government to apprehend the killers involved in killing five tribesmen of Awan tribe in Bala Nari area of district Kachhi”.
