KARACHI: Karachi police used teargas and water cannons on activists of All Pakistan Clerks Association outside Karachi Press Club to disperse them while proceeding towards Chief Minister House, here on Monday for acceptance of their demands. A woman protester was injured in the police action.
Police officials along with a large contingent tried to disperse the protesters.
APCA was staging protests since two months. They demanded promotions, son quota and other facilities. The police arrested over 50 protesters including Murad Ali Chachar, President APCA Sindh. One woman Hameeda Begum was injured and was shifted to local hospital.
